After I fell asleep at girl-friendly flicks (such as Black Beauty) at about 6 or 7 years old, my dad decided to try something more in his wheelhouse (sci-fi,) so we went to see Flash Gordon. Award-winning actor  Tadanobu Asano as a snake-brained bad-ass fighting a villain named Thunderbolt Buddha in what looks like a Nine Inch Nails lost video. You will not be able to look away.

So I am not a huge Wu Tang fan but RZA as a musician, actor, and everything else is rather amazing. This is basically his origin story. From sacred geometry to some really good philosophy, it’s easily one of my all-time favorites. And RZA is a fantasy character come to life for sure…he totally counts.

Hands down, there is something strangely hypnotic about this book. It is strangely modern, considering when it was written.  I double-dog dare you to read this and not be obsessed with the black stars of Carcosa.

It ends with the words “God Is Dead” and I have ruined NOTHING by telling you that. Arms dealers summoning demons never goes wrong, right?
